While spring is just beginning, it's never too early to start planning for summer. It's actually almost too late! Many organizations in the Boise area offer exciting summer camps for kids of all ages, from sports to arts and crafts to outdoor adventures. Explore Julia Davis Park:

Julia Davis Park is a gem in the heart of Boise, offering a plethora of family-friendly attractions. Next door to Zoo Boise, the Discovery Center of Idaho, the Idaho State Museum, and the Boise Art Museum, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Spend a day exploring the exhibits, marveling at wildlife, and immersing yourselves in art and history. (Mark your calendar for Treefort Music Fest which is held in the park every Spring - usually during/near Spring Break!)

Wander the Boise River Greenbelt:

Hands-down the Boise River Greenbelt is one of the best places to explore in the Spring! Take advantage of the mild spring weather by strolling or biking along the Greenbelt. This scenic pathway stretches for miiiiiiiiles, offering beautiful views of the river, lush greenery, and wildlife. Don't know where to start? The Greenbelt is truly one of the best ways to explore our beloved Boise!


Downtown Boise Adventures:

Downtown Boise is buzzing with energy in the spring, making it the perfect destination for a family outing. Be sure to embark on the Boise With Kids interactive scavenger hunt in Freak Alley, where vibrant murals and street art await discovery. It's the perfect way to engage the kids! Afterwards, explore the various local businesses, treat yourselves to delicious local eats, and soak up the lively atmosphere - especially during Downtown Boise's First Thursday events!

Visit Idaho Botanical Gardens:

Step into a world of natural beauty at the Idaho Botanical Gardens, where colorful blooms and fragrant blossoms abound. Wander through themed gardens, participate in educational programs, and let the kids run wild in the Children's Adventure Garden. Don't forget to check the calendar for special events and workshops happening throughout the spring!


Shop Local Farmers Markets:

Support local farmers and artisans while enjoying a fun-filled day at one of the Treasure Valley's many farmers markets. From the bustling Boise Farmers Market to the vibrant Capital City Public Market to the quaint Nampa Farmers Market, you'll find fresh produce, handmade goods, and lively entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Pack Your Picnic and Explore Our City Parks:

For a day of outdoor adventure, head to Ann Morrison Park for picnicking, playgrounds, and scenic views of the Boise skyline. We love how this big park comes alive during this magical time of year! Take a bike ride down the Greenbelt with the fam, hop off at the park and enjoy the fresh air as you watch people play frisbee and soccer, have BBQs and picnics, throw up their hammocks and walk their dogs. Take a Hike:

It's officially "hiking season" and the trails are calling our name! Be sure to hike the popular Table Rock trail before it gets too hot out. You'll find a variety of awesome, kid-friendly hikes up near Bogus Basin, across the foothills and at the Military Reserve.
