Tamarack's proximity to Boise, makes it an easily accessible destination for families for just a day or a weekend getaway. The picturesque journey sets the tone for a delightful winter experience. (Be sure to load up on Dramamine if you have a tendency to get car sick!) You might be surprised to find out that there is a shuttle service available from Eagle to Tamarack and back. Could be a great option for your crew!

Once you arrive, you'll be captivated by Tamarack's breathtaking scenery and find yourself surrounded by top-notch amenities. The Resort gives off Colorado ski resort or Sun Valley vibes. It's very approachable, high quality and clean!

If you're planning to ski or snowboard you can actually rent everything you might need or shop for options at the Tamarack Outfitters store (all in the same building). There are multiple passes you can buy (tip: buy online ahead of time and get a discount!) AND they even have one spot, the Discovery Learning Area, that's open to everyone for free! With 57 Runs and terrain for all levels, you're bound to have a great time! Private and Group Lessons are available.

If you're not planning to ski or snowboard there's still plenty to do! Lounge around the resort, do some shopping at the new Satellite Outpost boutique, or even visit the spa! Still wanna explore the outdoors? How about snow shoeing, cross country skiing, ice fishing or giving fat tire biking a try? And get this - they have childcare services on site! Be sure to check out the details and reserve a spot here.

One of the highlights for families is the array of dining options at Tamarack. From casual spots to sit-down restaurants, there's something to suit every palate. For a family-friendly lunch, Seven Devils Taphouse offers a mouthwatering menu with options that will satisfy both kids and adults. We highly recommend their Mac N Cheese, sliders, "insanely delicious french fries" (according to my 8 year old), tacos, brussel sprouts and chicken sandwich! They have a wall of beer taps where you can sample and pay by the ounce. They have indoor and outdoor seating and TVs with sports and other entertainment. They even have karaoke on some nights! The Reserve, a more fine dining experience, was recently named USA Today's Best Ski Restaurant in the United States! If kiddos are picky, we highly recommend Rendezvous - a more cafe/food hall setup where there’s a coffee shop, Crusty's Pizza, and diner-food options. Beware... the footlong hotdog is HUGE. After hitting the slopes or exploring the resort, indulge in some delightful treats at Sugarloaf Creamery or take advantage of the free s'mores on the Snowfront (ask the staff for specifics!) while enjoying the DJ's music.

So whether you're a family of seasoned skiers or just looking to get outta the Treasure Valley and into the snowy mountains, visiting Tamarack Resort with kids is a must! It truly has something for everyone! Pack up your snow gear, load up the family, and head to Tamarack for a winter wonderland that truly has something for everyone!
