Your Weekend Roundup Oct. 28-30

Here's a quick roundup of some of the best family-friendly events happening across the Treasure Valley this Halloween weekend!

Friday, October 28

-Today is the first day of Taste of Downtown!

-I'm obsessed with our downtown and there are SO many great spots for a girls night or date night but tons of family-friendly spots as well. Taste of Downtown is happening until Sunday, November 6th so check out the menus of the 50 restaurants participating and plan a fun meal out together downtown!


-Get to one of our local Farms before they close for the season! Check our Fall Family Fun Guide for all the details!


-The City of Kuna is hosting a Trunk or Treat from 4:30-7:30


-Trunk or Treat with the Garden City police, Riverside Hotel and lots of local businesses at the Riverside hotel parking lot from 5-7. The Garden City Library bus and a firetruck will be there too!


-This free, open to the public event will begin at 6:00PM with a Trunk-or-Treat featuring multiple community partners in the Memorial Stadium parking lot. Fans may then enter the stadium to enjoy a fireworks show starting at 7:30PM. Concessions will be open for purchase and all fans are encouraged to come dressed in their best Halloween costumes!


Saturday, October 29

-Trunk or Treat + Car Show at Cinemark Majestic movie theater in Meridian from 9-12

-There will be tons of cool cars decorated and giving out candy for all kids at the show! Hungry at the show? There will be food trucks and coffee as well!


-Check out the scarecrows and enjoy the fun at the Fall Harvest at the Idaho Botanical Garden from 10-3


-Day 1 of Boo at the Zoo from 10-5

-Join Zoo Boise for the best family Halloween event in town! This year, Boo at the Zoo presented by Delta Dental of Idaho is happening for two days – Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30. There will be trick or treat candy stations, costume contests for all ages, vendors, photo ops, face painting, special Halloween themed treats for the zoo animals, and much more! Prepurchase tickets at https://www.simpletix.com/.../boo-at-the-zoo-2022-tickets... Pre-purchased tickets are not required. Annual members are always free (with pass and photo ID) and will have a special entrance gate. Members do not need tickets but do need to check in at the gate.


-Celebrate “Apple Day” at Cherry Hill Farms

-Hayrides, costume parades, yummy desserts, fun crafts, and of course APPLES will all be waiting for you. Pre-purchase tickets online at www.Cherryhillfarms.com or buy tickets at our fruitstand on Saturday, October 29th.


-Boise State plays Colorado State at Albertsons stadium at noon! Go Blue!


-Howl-O-Woof Dog Park Halloween Party at Storey Bark Park from 12-3


-Ghost, Goodies and Goats with Namaste in the Country from 2-5


-Monster Mash fundraiser party at the Children’s Museum from 4-7

-Come celebrate Halloween at Veterans Memorial Park! Dress up in your costumes, grab a picnic blanket, and your creativity and get ready for a Halloween experience unlike any other. Each family will decorate and light up their picnic blankets any way they like!

As the sun sets, all the children will stop at each family’s blanket to get a treat. Here’s the fun part - treats will be all natural objects! Sunday, October 30

-Day 2 of Boo at the Zoo from 10am-5pm (see above for details)


-Last day for Flaming Acres Farm!


-Raising Spirits includes ‘trick or treat’ at the historic homes in our Pioneer Village, pumpkin decorating, and spine-tingling story time readings at 2:00 and 3:00. Costumes are encouraged, and don’t forget to stop by our ghostly graveyard in Pioneer Village!


-LOTS of Trunk or Treats listed on the calendar!
