According to the calendar the Treasure Valley is still in hibernation mode! There's not a lot happening but ALWAYS something to do with your family. Here's a few events and a few recommendations for enjoying and exploring the Treasure Valley with kids.

-FREE CAR WASH at Epic Shine Car Wash: There is a new location opening in Meridian on the corner of Meridian Rd. and Overland Rd! FREE CAR WASHES all weekend long January 13th-15th. We will also have some EPIC membership promotions that you won't want to miss.
-Enjoy a family movie night at the Lake Hazel Library on Friday at 6PM: Come enjoy the movie Encanto and a snack! All Ages!
-Idaho Steelheads play the Utah Grizzlies at 7:10PM on Friday and Saturday at the Idaho Central Arena. Get info here.
-Open Arms Dance Project Tiny Tots Class: Adult/Child dance class, ages 2-6 years old. Come have some fun dancing and learning about the Grump Meter – an emotional regulation tool for kids and families. Then explore how dancing with your loved one brings fun, joy, and connection. When: January 14th | 10am - 11am, Where: 5th Floor in Jump Room, Price: FREE & open to the community! Please register by emailing OpenArmsDanceProject@gmail.com with "Tiny Tots" in the subject line.
-Visit the Idaho State Museum for January’s Family Second Saturday: Join us for hands-on activities from 12-3 at the exhibit opening of Roots of Wisdom. Learn about weaving and materials in Roots of Wisdom, then design your own woven creation. From restoring ecosystems to revitalizing cultural practices, Roots of Wisdom provides examples of how traditional knowledge and cutting-edge science work together to create complementary solutions to contemporary concerns. Included in museum admission.
-The International Rescue Committee in Boise invites you to celebrate Idaho Human Rights Day! Amina's African Sambusas will offer a cooking demo, Homeyra from Sunshine Spice Cafe will lead a painting class, and Makata's Dance will lead African Zumba! This is an all-ages, free event.* Join us! -Kuna Christmas Tree Bonfire: Join in for a warm BONFIRE of trees with a little music, beverages and a bite to eat at Bernie Fisher Park at the dirt hills on 2nd St. The Kuna Rural Fire District will be there to keep us safe and sound! J & M Sanitation will be dropping off trees they collect but you are welcome to drop off your own between 5:30pm -6:30pm the day of the event.
-Check out the SLIME exhibit at the Discovery Center before it closes on February 5th! Next up is "The Fans Strike Back" which begins March 6th.
