Sit Still Kids is a brand new salon that just opened up in Meridian. It's a kid's salon unlike any we've ever seen. Over the top service is the heartbeat of Sit Still and it shows. The space is cool yet warm and kid-friendly but not anti-adult. It's clear that the staff cares deeply about wowing their clients AND their parents by being really good at what they do while being welcoming, patient and fun, too.
At Sit Still it’s more than just a haircut in a custom-made race car with tablets showing all the best kid shows (although they've got those, and they’re pretty rad). From their playlists to paint colors, they've been thoughtful about everything. Their goal is to make everyone feel comfortable and confident throughout the whole experience. For example, once children are set up for their cut, adults are offered drinks such as cold brew or sparkling water (and even mimosas on the weekends!). Yes, please!
You can bank on a great, "classic" cut (like we did with our almost 2 year old) or there is room for creativity! Believe it or not, mullets, mohawks and mullet-mohawks are making a comeback and Sit Still stylists are ready to deliver. Kids can also choose to have color spray, glitter or braids added to their hair at the end of their session.
Parents and kids will enjoy browsing the fun, hand picked items in the retail area as well. They sell top-of-the-line hair products made for children, the coolest toys, t-shirts and gifts. They look forward to partnering with local businesses like Tiki Shaved Ice, Sugar on Sugar Cotton Candy, local breweries and selling children's books from local authors, to keep a real hometown, community feel at Sit Still (which we couldn't love more).
