Even if you're a Boise native, you've maybe never been to this hidden downtown gem... 🍻
Perfectly nicknamed "The Cheers of Boise," the 10th Street Station Drinking Establishment was the perfect little hole in the wall discovery on our first date night out on the town when we first moved to Boise. It's located in the basement of the Idahna Hotel.
We snuck down the outside stairs and out of the cold and rainy fall evening and into the warmest and most unpretentious little "establishment." We found an empty high top table along the wall full of fun old framed photos and funny signs and settled in. A waitress walked over and asked what we'd like to drink. We asked for a menu and she said they didn't really have one (it's THAT low key). So we ordered our go-to drink, an Old Fashioned. They were great so we were quite pleasantly surprised (read: shocked) when she brought us our bill and it was $9... TOTAL! 🥃🥃
We decided to bar hop a little afterwards and went to a much trendier, newer, more popular establishment. We each ordered a fancy $14 cocktail but didn't even like them and were bored by the vibe inside. So lesson learned - make it easy. At 10th Street Station you can enjoy a deliciously cheap drink, be out of the house and with your partner uninterrupted and have a really great time.
Now THAT is what I call a good parents' night out. 🥰
But don't take my word for it - head over on your next night out downtown and see for yourself!
