Summer in the Treasure Valley means it's time to kick back and enjoy some outdoor movie magic with the family. With warm evenings and starry skies, what better way to spend time together than watching a movie under the open sky? This summer, 2024, there's an awesome lineup of family-friendly films showing in parks and drive-ins across the valley. Whether you're into animated adventures, heartwarming classics, or the latest blockbusters, there's something for everyone. So, grab your blankets, pack some snacks, and check out these great spots to catch an outdoor movie with the kids this season!



Outdoor Movies in the Treasure Valley (2024)

  • Movies Under the Stars in Boise at the Julia Davis Bandshell. Movies start at dusk.

      • June 21 - Shrek (2001)

      • July 19 - Wonka (2023)

      • August 16 - Kung Fu Panda 4

  • Sparklight Movie Night in Meridian at Settlers Park in a fenced event area. Movies start at 7pm and the area closes at 9:30. Note: No one under the age of 18 is permitted without a parent or guardian present for the event.

      • June 14 - Migration

      • June 28 - Wish

      • July 12 - Kung Fu Panda 4

      • July 26 - Elemental

      • August 9 - Wonka

  • Silver Screen on the Green in Nampa at Midway Park. Movies begin at dusk.

  • Movies on the Greenbelt in Kuna behind City Hall. Movies start at dusk.

      • June 21: **Date Night (18+) featuring Godzilla vs Kong (PG-13)

      • July 19: Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey

      • Aug 9: The Indian In The Cupboard

  • Movie Night at the Star Barn. Activities start at 6pm and the movie starts at 7pm. Bring comfy things to sit on in the barn!

For a different outdoor movie option, try the Terrace Drive-In Theater in Caldwell! Check the website for movie showings and times. Adults are $10 and children (ages 4-11) are $4.

The Caldwell drive-in is closed for renovations but the Parma drive-in and Emmett Drive-in (Frontier) are both fun options.
