Have you had a chance to check out our latest Guide? The Holidays Guide is packed with our recommendations of where to shop small and local for gifts for kids and families, a big old list of fun holiday experiences and events, some local fresh cut Christmas tree spots and a list of places to see Santa. While there's probably gift ideas for everyone on that list I wanted to highlight some other favorites for when you're in need of a gift for the adults in your life.
*None of this is sponsored - literally just all my tried and true faves plus some of yours!*
FOOD + DRINK:
Bring something fresh to a holiday party or grab a gift card for an easy gift.
Certified, Wylder and Wyld Child
My go-to recommendations for any/all meals. I've never once had a bad experience and everything I've tried becomes an instant fave. Let me know if you want my recommendations for each spot!
We subscribe and have their freshly roasted beans mailed to us every two weeks. It never gets old and dang it's tasty!
I love both locations (Garden City and the Bench) SO MUCH. If I ever need an afternoon pick me up or need to schedule a coffee date, it's here. It's also our family's go-to. coffee + walk combo!
This has been my go-to spot to hide away and get sh!t done! Their baked goods and wide selection of drinks always hit the spot.
Hands down the best ice cream I've had in Boise (but willing to test every single one to be proven wrong!). The Deja Vu is my ideal flavor combo. TRY IT!
A family fave. Gift cards here would be a perfect stocking stuffer and make a great family night spot over Winter Break.
Out.Of.This.World. pastries. We don't deserve the delicacies they create. Seriously.
I was one of those sourdough obsessed home bakers during Covid and have such an appreciation and love for it. I love getting locally made bread and pastries from the wonderful people behind Hudson Baking Co. They even deliver!
A multi-roaster coffee bar in Downtown Boise. Always something new and unique to try!
So unique and flavorful. It's clear they put so much care and attenton into everything they make!
When I asked on Instagram, others recommended:
Caffeina : The COOLEST vibe and they serve more than just coffee!
Neckar Coffee: I haven't been but it's high on my list!
Bluebird Confections: "Their caramels are divine!"
Boise Co-Op: Also a great spot for gifts! They're having a gift card sale now!
Creekside Marshmallows: "Their hot chocolate mixes and handmade marshmallows make for a great gift basket!"
CLOTHING:
As "Boise's Biggest Hype Girl" I've got drawers full of local faves!
Some of my favorites are from 208 Supply Co! I love their Idaho Mama shirt and the cozy Christmas tree sweatshirt I just got is on repeat until Christmas. They've offered me an affiliate link so if you grab yourself or someone a gift, use this link! PS They're offering a really pretty Idaho necklace with every purchase (while supplies last!) for Black Friday!
Located in Twin Falls, Perrine Man Press has some of the coolest Idaho themed designs on their apparel. I have a couple of their things and just love them. They sell t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, beanies, hats, stickers, cups and so much more. You can't go wrong.
It's like a local REI. I love being able to find local brands alongside a huge selection of outdoor gear. Plus the staff is super friendly and knowledgable.
Truth be told I don't usually wear any jewelry but my wedding ring! BUT I'm a reeeeeally big fan of the earrings my friend Tanya makes. They're unique and fun and affordable. Grab some!
Other recommendations I got:
I Beni Boutique: I need to get over there! It's been recommended to me so many times!
Jamison Rae Jewelry: I'm now eying some of the simple and beautiful necklaces!
44East Boutique: A mother-daughter run store with all kinds of fun clothes and gift ideas!
OTHER GIFT IDEAS:
Looking for something unique? Try one of these...
Coffee + Supply Co. / Sundry Boutique
Mel, the owner, has been such an incredible support and shown me such generosity from the first time we met. I love the local food and drink that Coffee and Supply Co. offers and there's not an item I don't immediately want in the upstairs shop, Sundry Boutique. A fun spot to pick out a quality gift!
I'm a sucker for ALL things Idaho and being able to shop locally and this is the perfect combo. Some of my favorite local makers' items can be found here and there's no doubt you can find something for everyone on your list!
I don't "treat myself" often and easily put myself and "self care" on the back burner. I've been starting to change that with monthly facials with Niki at Helton House Aesthetics. Niki is incredibly welcoming and has the coolest vibe. Grab a gift card for yourself and a loved one this Christmas!
I got to try their beef for the first time when I snagged their "Back to School" burger bundle. It was phenomenal and I've recently stocked up on their ground beef! A package from them would be an incredible family or host gift.
Our minivan is embarrassingly dirty - all the time. I'm sure you can relate. I was never going to be "that parent" but here we are... ANYWAYS an inside detail or gift card from them would be such a treat for any driver on your list!
Not only does attending Fit4MOM classes help me exercise my mom-bod but the community is just the best. Such an incredibly supportive and welcoming group. You won't regret putting a class-pack or membership on your list! They have great black Friday deals happening now!
A getaway or staycation!
I had a girls night at the Riverside hotel recently and LOVED it. I want to get back with the whole fam and check out their new indoor pool!
We LOVE getting away to McCall, Sun Valley and the Tetons! If you're looking for "experiences" versus gifts - a stay or event in any of these would be a dream!
Candles: I love them but never buy them for myself so getting one as a gift is always a joy!
Lit + Co Candles: You can even make your own!
Idaho Candle Company: They have Idaho themed candles so obvi I'm a fan.
Harwood Home Candles: Hand poured and made in Star!
Other recommendations I got:
A Succulent Day: YES. Just yes. Gimme.
Edwards Greenhouse: Have you seen their adorable holiday setups?? I want to take some cute photos there and wouldn't mind coming home with arms full of new plants!
Cordova Outdoors: Coolers and other outdoor gear... always a good gift.
A soak at The Springs: Get a reservation!
Mixed Greens: One of those stores you can get lost in for hours looking at ALL THE THINGS.
