This is a great chance to score fantastic deals on everything on your list. What's Moppet Togs All About?
Moppet Togs is not your average consignment sale—it's a treasure trove of amazing finds for kids of all ages! Unlike other consignment sales, Moppet Togs has been the "premier" kids' consignment sale in the Treasure Valley since 2005! It's held twice per year, once in the Spring/Summer and once in the Fall/Winter - lately at Expo Idaho.
How Does Moppet Togs Work?
For each sale there are usually around 500 consignors and many of them put in hundreds of items of their own. Each consignor sorts, organizes and preps their items then enters each item into an online sales system. Tags are made for each item to keep track of who's items are who's. Consignors get to choose their pricing but prices start at $2.50 (before discount days) and prices go up by .50 cent increments from there. Since each consignor prices their own items there is a pretty big range in prices. For example, during one sale I found a pair of Native shoes for $10 and a very similar pair in the same size for only $2.50! Such a good deal! It really pays to look carefully through all items to find the best quality and the best price. It's the best kind of scavenger hunt!
When does the shopping happen?
Most shopping times require a pre-purchased ticket. Note: every shopper over age 2 needs a time-slot ticket for ticketed shopping times! Moppet Togs consignors get to shop early on Tuesday evening and then Wednesday is a special "Charity Day" where tickets are more expensive and spots are limited and a portion of the sales go to a charity. Thursday and Friday are the "public sale days" where everything is regular price. No tickets are required to shop on Friday but expect long lines!
