Designed for children ages 2-8, this program uses soccer as a vehicle for growth, making it both a fun and enriching experience for kids. They aim to build character, build skills, and build confidence, all while having a whole lot of FUN.
What is Soccer Shots?
Soccer Shots is an introductory soccer program that has been around since 1997. There are programs across the country, including right here in the Treasure Valley. Soccer Shots offers weekly, 30-minute sessions at local childcare centers and parks. These sessions are designed to be the highlight of your child's week! On “Soccer Island”, children engage in fun, age-appropriate games that teach the fundamentals of soccer while reinforcing early childhood development focuses emphasized both in the classroom and at home.
Age-Specific Curricula
Soccer Shots offers tailored curricula for three different age groups to ensure each child receives the right level of attention and development support:
- Mini (2-3 years old): Introduces basic soccer skills through playful games, songs and activities.
- Classic (3-5 years old): Builds on fundamental soccer techniques and highlights positive character traits like teamwork, respect, and character building.
- Premier (5-8 years old): Focuses on more advanced skills and concepts, preparing children for future soccer endeavors.
Parental Involvement
Communication with parents is a key aspect of Soccer Shots. Weekly newsletters are sent out to keep parents informed about what their children are learning and how they can support their child's first soccer experience. This partnership ensures that parents feel involved and can celebrate their child's progress and achievements.
