Being a new mom can get lonely, especially if you haven’t made other mom friends yet or established a routine that gets you out the door and around others. Whether you are going back to work after your maternity leave or staying home with the little ones, it is so nice to have other moms you know that you can relate with and get together with while the little ones play. That is why when I found Fit4Mom when I first moved to Boise, it was a total game changer for me!

The Fit4Mom program has something for moms at every stage of motherhood. Pregnant moms can enroll in Fit4Baby sessions - workouts designed just for them, and with other expectant moms - so you’re already making friends for future playdates and mama dates. Plus everyone in the class is pregnant - they get it! Exercise at your level and do your best, no judgment!

Moms of little ones can try all the stroller-based classes. These are hour long workouts where the mamas move throughout the park with the little ones in their stroller (or mall, in the winter) and stop at various stations to do strength and cardio based exercises. We’ve got Stroller Barre, which emphasizes deep core and glute work resembling a typical barre class; Stroller Strides which has moms engaged in basic strength training and cardio; and Strides 360 which takes the workout up a notch with an emphasis on agility and cardio and might be a little more “intense” but can also always be scaled to your level. These are great classes for moms at the tail end of their maternity leave (after being recovered from childbirth), moms who are staying at home, or moms who do a bit of both and can get out of the house for an hour in the morning!

If you still want that mom connection but can’t workout in the middle of the morning because of your schedule (or maybe your kids have outgrown the stroller) then we offer Boost, Body Well, and Run Club. Boost is a drop-in strength and cardio workout - we offer a variety of class times and days including weekend classes. Body Well is an 8-week program designed to help moms reach specific fitness goals that includes a couple of HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts a week. And Run Club is a training program for moms looking to participate in a race or get into running shape. Run Club can be done with or without kiddos and we offer it based on local races happening in the Treasure Valley.

I also love that we get together monthly to have a Moms Night Out, and that we have weekly playgroups for the kiddos after our stroller classes. It’s a ton of fun and really helps me feel connected. Plus these mamas are the kindest people - we make each other dinners when we have babies or are going through hard times, we participate in service projects throughout the year together, and we help each other out! So if you are a mom, I highly recommend checking us out!
