There. That feels more realistic, right?


Boise With Kids has come up with a jam-packed "Bucketlist" of fun, family-friendly activities to do with your kids this summer in the Treasure Valley. (Scroll all the way to the end for a fun "word search" version download for your kids!)


Boise With Kids Summer Bucketlist:

o Bike Parks:

J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation Bike Park

Address: 750 Mountain Cove Rd, Boise

  • Maintained by Boise Parks and Recreation, this bike park is meant to be enjoyed by all skill levels of bikers. Trails are marked similarly to ski hills to designate difficulty levels.

Ada/Eagle Bike Park at the Sports Complex

Address: Old Horseshoe Bend Road and E Greenbrook Street, Eagle, ID 83714

  • The complex covers over 200 acres, is one of the largest in the country and has trails for all skill levels.

o Bogus Basin Mountain Coaster:

Address: 2600 N Bogus Basin Road, Boise, ID 83702

  • Bogus opens up on June 10th for the summer season. There's so much to do and explore during the summer but the mountain coaster, the only one in the state of Idaho, is especially fun for families and something everyone should do at least once!

o Children's Museum of Idaho:

Address: 790 S Progress Ave, Meridian, ID 83642

  • The Children's Museum is a Boise With Kids favorite! Read all about it here.

o Discovery Center of Idaho:

Address: 131 W Myrtle St, Boise, ID 83702

  • This summer the Center is hosting SUE: The T. rex Experience for all the dinosaur lovers out there and is supposed to be pretty impressive!

o Float the River

Address: The Boise River!

  • A Boise summer tradition for everyone! You can get in at Barber Park and out at Ann Morrison Park. It takes a couple of hours and can be fun for all ages. Just be careful!

o Freak Alley Gallery:

Address: located between 8th and 9th and Bannock and Idaho streets in Downtown Boise

  • One of BWK's favorite downtown spots. Don't forget to bring along the scavenger hunt!

o Greenbelt:

o Idaho State Museum:

o Kids Bowl Free:

  • Yes, you read that right! Kids can bowl free ALL SUMMER. Learn all about it here.

o Lake Lowell:

  • Managed by both the Bureau of Reclamation and the US Fish and Wildlife Refuge, Lake Lowell is a hot spot for boating, fishing and swimming.

o Library Summer Reading:

o MK Nature Center:
