I’m so excited about the annual Taste of Downtown happening now through November 6th in downtown Boise. There are so many incredible spots offering some really delicious deals. This is the 12th year and every one of the 50 participating spots is offering a $12 special along with some other special social hour and prix-fixe menus.
While many options are better for a date night (lots of drink specials!) I wanted to highlight some that I think are especially kid-friendly. If you have especially adventurous eaters you might find more but below are the ones that stood out to me. Let me know if you try them!
I highly recommend the ones I got to try during the preview tour I got to go on - The Chocolat Bar, Anzalone Pizza, The Basque Market, and The Melting Pot were all phenomenal. Boise Fry Company: Guests may receive a signature Boise Fry Co. BLT with a small fry and can of local craft beer or soda for $12.
Calle75 Street Tacos: For $12 you an get 3 Street Tacos (choice of Carne Asada, Chicken, Pork Carnitas or Veggies) with a side of Chips and Salsa.
Caffe D'arte: (The Warehouse Location): For $12 you can get their Lasagna with Italian bread and an eclair.
Gaston's Bakery: Croque Monsieur sandwich on house-baked Idaho sourdough bread. Served with a cream puff for dessert!
Lemon Tree Co: They have a couple special $12 sandwich + side combos for $12 and a great kids menu, too.
Negranti Creamery: 2 milkshakes for $12 and kiddos scoops for $3!
Neighbor Tim's BBQ: Brisket loaded Idaho baked potato is their $12 special.
Rush Bowls: You can get 1 bowl of choice and your choice of Rush Bites for $12.
The Stil: Pick 2 for $12 - they have a list of options including their Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich (Sugar Whipped Cookies & choice of ice cream), a double scoop in a waffle cone and a soda float.
Totally Toasted Grilled Cheesery: $12 for 1 Grilled Cheese, bag of chips, and a bottle of soda.
Tupelo Honey: Classic Fried Chicken & Waffles for $12
Waffle Love Boise: Their $12 offer is either the Red Wonder: a waffle with cookie butter, fresh whipped cream and fresh strawberries and raspberries, with a fountain drink or the Chicken Sando: a toasted brioche bun with lettuce pickles house sauce, 1 hand breaded piece of fried chicken with hot honey. Also served with a fountain drink.
This is such a fun time to get your family downtown! Go go go!
