Join Boise Contemporary Theater as they present a FREE family-friendly production this summer in a program called Play in the Park. The event is sponsored by the The Gladys E. Langroise Advised Fund in the Idaho Community Foundation, and KTVB Channel 7.
This summer's Play in the Park performance is Pinocchio 3.5, a modern comedy/drama by Eric Coble. This performance tells the story of how computer magnate Gill Bates builds a little robot named Pinocchio who turns out to be a mischievous little bundle of microchips in a wacky, charming 21st-century retelling of the 19th-century classic about what it takes to become a real human being.
Catch the 50 minute play on Wednesday, June 15th at 6:00pm at the Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park bandshell in Meridian and on Thursday, June 16th at 6:00pm at the Gene Harris Bandshell in Julia Davis Park, Boise. Scroll to the bottom for maps of each location.
Unfamiliar with Boise Contemporary Theater? This will also be a great opportunity to find out more from volunteers about BCT's summer programs like Theater Lab education classes where you can learn to make theater with BCT, their Summer Reading Series, and their BIPOC Playwright's Festival. PLUS! BCT will have a $5 raffle at each showing for a winner to take home two passes to summer fun at Roaring Springs (Wednesday's raffle prize) and 2 passes to summer fun at Bogus Basin (Thursday's raffle prize)!
